Privacy Policy for DiffDish

Last updated: August 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Hodegos Solutions Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the DiffDish mobile application (the "App").

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information You Create in the App

DiffDish lets you create and store recipes, plan which meals you intend to cook on which days, rate recipes, and record when you last cooked something. All of this data — your recipes, your meal plan, and your app settings — is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to, collected by, or accessible to us. We do not have servers that store this data, and we cannot see it.

If you uninstall the App, this locally stored data is removed from your device.

Sharing Recipes

The App includes a feature that lets you share recipes. When you choose to share, the App hands the content off to your device's own sharing options (such as email, text messaging, or social apps). We do not send, store, or process the shared content ourselves — the sharing is performed by the app or service you select on your device, subject to that service's own privacy policy.

Camera and Photos

DiffDish can create a recipe from a photograph of a cookbook page, recipe card, or handwritten note.

The text recognition that reads the photograph runs entirely on your device. The image is not uploaded to us, and it is not sent to any third-party service for processing. We never receive it.

The App requests access to your camera, and to images you choose from your device, only at the point where you use this feature. You may decline that permission and continue to use the App — recipes can also be added by hand or from a link. Where you select an existing image, the App reads only the image you choose; it does not browse or index your photo library.

The photograph is used to produce the recipe text that you then review and save. The recipe you save is stored locally in the App as described above.

Importing Recipes from a Link

DiffDish can create a recipe from a web address you provide. When you do this, your device requests that web page directly in order to read the recipe information published on it.

That request goes from your device to the website you chose, not through us. As with visiting the page in a browser, the operator of that website may receive your device's IP address and standard request information, and their own privacy policy governs what they do with it. We do not receive, log, or store the addresses you import from.

Backups You Create

DiffDish can export your recipes, meal plan, and settings to a file so that you can back them up or move them to another device. The App creates this file and hands it to whatever destination you choose — for example a cloud storage service, an email, or your device's own storage.

Once you send that file somewhere, it is subject to the privacy practices of the service you sent it to. We do not receive a copy and have no access to it.

Third-Party Services

To support free access and optional in-app purchases, the App uses the following third-party services, which may collect certain information automatically:

Google AdMob (Advertising)

The App displays ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, and general device and usage information in order to serve and measure ads. You can read how Google uses this data in the Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

You can typically limit ad personalization through your device settings (for example, "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android).

RevenueCat (In-App Purchases)

The App offers an optional one-time in-app purchase to remove ads. We use RevenueCat to manage and validate purchases. RevenueCat may process information such as purchase records and device or app identifiers to deliver and restore your purchase. You can read RevenueCat's privacy practices here: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy

Payment processing itself is handled by the Google Play Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, precise location, or account credentials through the App. We do not collect your photographs, your recipes, or your meal plan. We do not maintain user accounts.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the third-party services described above, please contact us so it can be addressed.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding personal information processed by the third-party services above, including the right to access or request deletion of certain data. Because we do not ourselves collect or store personal information about you, requests relating to advertising or purchase data may be directed to Google or RevenueCat using the links above. You may also contact us and we will assist where we are able.

Data Retention

We do not retain personal information about you on our own systems. Your recipes, meal plan, and settings remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App. Any backup file you export remains wherever you chose to put it, under your control. Data handled by the third-party services is retained according to their respective policies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
